adidas Originals kicks off this year’s A-ZX series with a bang. The first letter to be unveiled is the R, standing for RETRO, a tribute to the brand’s iconic archive, featuring the first ever re-release of the ZX1000C model from the late 80’s. Maintaining the same color scheme of the original’s, the sneaker brand celebrates its legacy.
A white dual material upper pairing synthetic suede and nylon mesh is complemented by details executed in black and the typical adidas Originals blue for the 3 stripes, the heel and the toe box. The vintage look is brought to the next level by the cream-white outsole, the pastel yellow execution of the Torsion system and the iconic lime green Torsion lacelock.
